Twilla Robinson Booker is an author, motivational speaker, and talk show host from Columbus, Georgia. I’ve had the opportunity to work with Twilla before on her talk show pilot series on relationships and sexual health. You can check out one of her shows here. She contacted me to do a book trailer for a book she released and I got had to do a little research. Honestly, I had never heard of a book trailer, but I did a search online and apparently it’s a huge thing.
There was no video footage for this project- only pictures and photoshop files. So we had to bring her book to life by animating these images and telling a story with text and music. So I cranked up the computer and had some fun with it. I sent the finished copy to her and she said that she cried. At first I thought I’d done something wrong, but she assured me that they were tears of joy. This book details some painful chapters in her life and seeing the trailer for the book gave her a finality to the project. She was now ready to go and market the book and tell her story to the whole world. I was glad to be a part of it.
